G-TREND Co., Ltd. (CEO Cha Chanyoung) announced on the 10th that its premium kitchenware brand GOTMAN has been selected as a Product Design Winner at the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2026 in Germany—one of the world’s top three design awards—with its copper cookware “CUPIE.” This marks the second consecutive win, following last year’s award for the Tritan airtight container “Neo Crystal Lock.”

CUPIE is a compound of “CU (copper) + PIE,” with its core concept centered on an “Aluminium-Zero” design that completely eliminates the use of aluminum. Featuring a premium tri-metal clad structure with a 1.0T thick pure copper core inserted between top-grade stainless steel layers, it achieves 1.7 times higher thermal conductivity and superior heat retention compared to conventional aluminium-based cookware. By fundamentally preventing aluminum oxidation and ion elution—especially in Korean cuisine characterized by high salinity and acidity—it has also secured outstanding safety, earning high praise from international judges.

Since its launch in 2019, GOTMAN has consistently adhered to the use of only the highest-grade materials and a principle of full domestic production, establishing itself as a luxury kitchenware brand through department stores and home shopping channels.

Cha Chanyoung, CEO of G-TREND, stated, “Winning the Red Dot Award for two consecutive years once again proves that GOTMAN’s design and technology are truly world-class,” adding, “We aim to become a brand that leads the global K-Kitchen trend through safety and beauty.”
