Passed All Global Food Container Safety Standards… Worldwide Recognition for Technology and Design

Premium kitchenware brand GOTMAN announced on the 15th that its Tritan airtight container, Neo Crystal Lock, has successfully passed food-contact material safety tests under both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards and Germany’s LFGB regulations.

This certification serves as proof that GOTMAN’s long-standing philosophy of a “healthy and safe premium kitchen culture” meets world-class standards, and it is expected to become a key stepping stone for the brand’s future expansion into global markets, including North America and Europe.

FDA and LFGB apply stringent standards to comprehensively evaluate the safety of all materials that come into direct contact with food, including the potential migration of harmful chemicals, as well as heat resistance, cold resistance, and chemical resistance.

According to the company, Neo Crystal Lock met international certification requirements by receiving a “PASS” rating in all test items required under FDA CFR Title 21 and Article 31 of the LFGB, conducted by the German testing institute TÜV Rheinland. The Tritan body and lid recorded migration levels under distilled water, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane conditions that were up to more than 20 times lower than the allowable limits. The silicone gasket also demonstrated stability even in high-temperature and fatty environments, with n-hexane extractables measured at 6.0 mg/in² (well below the standard limit of 175).

In addition, all tested substances—including bisphenol A (BPA), endocrine disruptors, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)—were confirmed to be below the detection limit (<RL) or not detected (n.d.).

GOTMAN’s Neo Crystal Lock is a premium airtight container made from Tritan™ TX1001, a high-performance material developed by the global advanced materials company Eastman. It is an innovative product that combines the transparency of glass with the durability of plastic.

This product won the Product Design category at the Red Dot Design Award, one of the world’s three major design awards, and was also selected as an Excellent Design (GD) product in the Kitchen & Household Goods category at GOOD DESIGN KOREA.

Cha Chanyoung, CEO of GOTMAN, stated, “Following global recognition for both functional excellence and design quality through two international design awards, this latest testing has officially certified our safety standards by two of the world’s most authoritative institutions. As such, we believe we have secured all the essential requirements for future expansion into overseas markets.”

He added, “Grounded in the coexistence of safety and beauty, GOTMAN will continue to elevate the global standing of Korean brands in the premium kitchenware market.”
